Note on Data Security: All core student data (subjects, schedules, and attendance logs) remains 100% private to your local device and your personal iCloud storage.

🔒 Privacy Policy
Your privacy is paramount. MyCollegeMate is built strictly on privacy-by-design principles:
Personal App Data
All core data—including subject lists, timetable schedules, notes, and attendance histories—is stored exclusively on your local device. If iCloud is enabled, data is synchronized via your private Apple iCloud container. We do not collect, host, or have access to your personal academic records.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
All transactions, subscriptions, and payment processing are managed exclusively by Apple via StoreKit and your Apple ID account:
- We do not collect, store, or process your credit card, payment details, or billing information.
- Apple provides us with anonymized purchase receipts and entitlement status solely to grant access to premium Pro features and suppress advertisements.
Advertising (Google Ads / AdMob)
To keep core app features accessible, MyCollegeMate displays advertisements served by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads:
- Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers (such as Advertising Identifier / IDFA where permitted, or Identifier for Vendors / IDFV), device information, IP address, and app interaction data to display advertisements and evaluate ad performance.
- We adhere strictly to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can grant or decline tracking permission at any time via your iOS device settings (

AI Timetable Scanning
When utilizing the automated timetable scanner feature:
- Selected image files are transmitted securely over SSL to Google’s Gemini API.
- Images are processed ephemerally in-memory solely for text identification and schedule structuring.
- Images are never saved, archived, or linked to your identity.
Analytics & Diagnostics
To ensure stability and fix crashes:
- Anonymous metrics are collected via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
- Information gathered includes device model, iOS version, app performance logs, and stack traces during crashes.
- This telemetry contains zero personally identifiable information (PII) and is strictly used to maintain and improve application performance.
💳 Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
MyCollegeMate offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and/or non-consumable in-app purchases to unlock premium functionality:
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Managing Subscriptions: You can view, manage, or cancel your active subscriptions at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
- Terms of Use: All purchases are subject to Apple’s standard Terms of Use (EULA).
